Quantum ESP

In the New York Times 2/6/07 edition it was reported that before closing its doors, the Princeton lab on ESP determined that the human mind could affect random outcome to the extent of ”2 or 3 flips out of 10,000” Dr. Jahn is quoted as concluding that “thought could bring about changes in many other areas of life — helping to heal disease, for instance, in oneself and others.”

However I feel that if confirmed, the ramifications of the 2 or 3 times per 10,000 ESP control would be enormously more than that indicated by Dr Jahn.

In quantum mechanics you have uncertainty as to any one particle but over large numbers we can predict the cumulative effect with a fair amount of certainty. Only in this way does the physical world seem to make sense.

However, if by thought alone this could be thrown off by 2 or 3 times per 10,000, then the cumulative effect would be enormous! The stability of structures could be altered. The orbit of a planet could be changed. Our world could be destroyed or saved from destruction.

Could concentration actually affect the material world by focusing this 2 or 3 times per 10,000 into inducing change on the quantum level that leverages into substantial observable change? Could anyone do this or only a person or group with special abilities?

What about the kind of concentration used in prayer? Could the concentration itself, regardless of the entity or deity targeted, actually invoke this quantum level change.

Is there a constant battle of contradicting wishes being fought? Do ghosts get a vote?
